Mattia Colombo

founder / director

Documentary filmmaker, born in 1982, Mattia’s calling is to talk about reality.

He directed Alberi che camminano (Trees That Walk) co-written with Erri De Luca and distributed by Feltrinelli, and Voglio dormire con te (I Want to Sleep with You), winner of the Premio Corso Salani and finalist for the Premio Solinas Documentario per il Cinema. He was production coordinator and directed the film, Ritmo Sbilenco (Lopsided Rhythm), a documentary on the Italian band, Elio e le Storie Tese, a special event at the Festival del Cinema di Roma distributed in movie theaters and on home video by Cinema Wanted and Feltrinelli. The documentary Uninvited, a biopic on the outsider fashion designer Marcelo Burlon, was released in Italy in November 2017 and distributed on home video by Cecchi Gori Entertainment. Since 2003, he has organized film studies courses for OffiCine, Laboratorio di Alta Formazione (Higher Learning Workshops) established in collaboration with IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) and Anteo Spazio Cinema.

Diego Diaz

Photographer and Director of Photography, born in 1982, he works in Milan, Paris and London.
Returning to Italy after studying at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York, he was one of the founders of StudioMorinn, now Sciesanove, a comprehensive association of visual and creative communication in Milan.

He has been teaching since 2007 and currently teaches the course, “Major in Fashion Photography” at the IED in Milan. His work has appeared in some of the major Italian fashion magazines including 10Magazine, D di Repubblica, Glamour, Grazia and Vogue Italia. He has worked with top Italian and international fashion designers such as Antonio Berardi, Armani, Dolce e Gabbana, Eliee Saab, La Perla and Valentino. Since 2014 he has included moving images and film into his repertoire and was Director of Photography for various videoclips, short films, and fashion videos for fashion houses including Max Mara, Rossella Jardini and Valentino Garavani.

Andrea Batilla

president / writer

Writer and creative strategist, born in 1967, he has worked as a designer for Romeo Gigli, Trussardi, Aspesi, Cerruti, Les Copains, and Bottega Veneta. He was Director of Fashion Design at IED in Milan and during that time he created the Piattaforma – Sistema Formativo Moda, the first Italian association of fashion design.
He has held training courses for Wella Italia, Davines, Procter & Gamble, and Pernod-Ricard.

From 2009 to 2015 he was co-editor of the biannual magazine, PIZZA, and its online magazine, pizzadigitale.it. From 2016 to 2018 he was editor of the online magazine vixmagazine.it. During that time, he was also director of communication strategies for Fausto Puglisi and General Manager of the brand Marco Rambaldi.
He works with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion as staff coordinator for training courses and youths.
